ANNEMARIE LOUW – Hospital Manager
Annemarie has more than 25 years of experience in treating addictions and eating disorders. Having trained under some of the most respected professionals in the field, she has developed a deep passion for creating and maintaining a client centred programme. As the head of our clinical team, Annemarie ensures that each member of our team is committed to providing compassionate and effective care for our clients.
MARLENE VAN DEN BERG - COPE Manager
Marlene is an occupational therapist with twenty years of experience in mental health, working with clients with eating disorders, addiction issues, and personality disorders. She is a trained Gestalt and Play therapist, TRE and Enneagram practitioner, and yoga teacher. Marlene is passionate about supporting clients to find motivation within themselves to live fully, engage in healing processes, and become their most authentic, healthiest selves.
LEISHA MOSTERT - Registered Counsellor
Leisha is a registered counsellor with a passion for working with trauma related issues in adolescents and adults. She works to explore unhealthy coping mechanisms that have developed as responses to life’s adversities. With experience in school settings, clinics, and private practice, Leisha creates a safe space for clients to embark on their journey of self exploration and challenge self destructive patterns.
FIERDOUS ACHMAT - Occupational Therapist
Fierdous Achmat is a dedicated occupational therapist with extensive experience in the mental health field, working across public and private psychiatric settings. She is deeply passionate about supporting clients as they navigate the complexities of trauma and its impact on their lives. Her work focuses on helping individuals move beyond survival based coping mechanisms, empowering them to cultivate resilience and reclaim a sense of purpose. Through evidence based interventions, Fierdous facilitates group, individual, and family therapy, guiding clients toward healthier coping strategies and more fulfilling, meaningful lives. Her compassionate, client centred approach fosters a safe space for growth, healing, and the development of skills needed to engage fully in life.
MEGAN Mc Caul – Clinical Psychologist
Megan is a clinical psychologist who earned her master’s degree from the University of the Western Cape and a master's degree in applied psychology from Coventry University. She has extensive experience and a passion for working with addiction, psychiatric hospital settings, personality disorders, grief, and trauma.
Her work is based on a psychodynamic approach that helps guide clients to understand their internal drivers on a deeper level and how it influences their behaviour and personality. Bringing the unconscious into consciousness allows clients to move to sustainable long term healing. She has an empathetic approach to her work, helping clients navigate through the emotional and psychological struggles while empowering them to take charge of their own recovery.
DR IAN LEWIS – Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr Lewis is a senior consultant psychiatrist with expertise in eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. As the head of the Emergency Psychiatric Unit at Groote Schuur Hospital, Dr Lewis is an experienced leader in the multidisciplinary management of eating disorders, particularly when coexisting conditions such as anxiety, depression, or obsessive-compulsive disorder are present. His compassionate approach and deep understanding of complex psychiatric conditions make him a key part of our clinical team.
KEISHA TITUS – Nursing manager
Keisha oversees the nursing staff at Netcare Akeso Montrose Manor, ensuring personalised and quality care for each client. With her extensive experience in nursing, Keisha is deeply committed to supporting clients through their recovery process, fostering trust, respect, and understanding. Her leadership ensures the nursing team is always available and equipped to provide compassionate care around the clock.
Our clinical team and support staff
The clients at Montrose Manor are supported by the Montrose Manor nursing staff, who are qualified and experienced in caring for clients with eating disorders and concurrent psychiatric diagnoses. Their gentle but firm approach adds to the excellent quality care found at Montrose Manor. The 24 hour nursing team has broad knowledge and understanding of DBT skills and work closely with the counselling team.
Netcare Akeso Montrose Manor's clinical team, including our dietitian, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists, work together seamlessly to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of eating disorder recovery. From individual and group therapy sessions to family interventions and holistic approaches, our team is committed to providing the most effective treatment for each client.
